A Framework for Service-Oriented Digital Twin Systems for Discrete Workshops and Its Practical Case Study

To address issues in discrete manufacturing workshops, such as the difficulty for management personnel to coordinate workshop production and challenge of visualizing supervising a massive amount temporary data, this paper proposes service-oriented digital-twin-system framework workshops using industrial IoT platform system-service solve problems opaque monitoring operators low interactivity 2D systems, visual data. Firstly, current situation intelligent workshop-monitoring demand context new-generation information technology is analyzed, six-dimensional digital-twin-workshop-monitoring architecture proposed, whereby system based on digital twin constructed with service platform. We will conduct research construction virtual development process, data collection edge computing gateways, dynamic process. Finally, through application movable-arm-production workshop, more human–machine interaction process browsing controlling information, equipment layout processes has been realized. This includes acquisition edge-computing real-time etc., which provides reference realizing workshop.
